A Note To NSP

Apparently NorthStarPolitics doesn't like it when I bring up the current crime situation in Minneapolis. He/She seems to think it is unfair to attack her on it, saying that Amy Klobuchar has little to do with crime prevention in Minneapolis.

Well, I'll outline for NSP and Klobuchar's Machine why this counts.

Ms. Klobuchar has chosen to run on her record as the county attorney. There's even a tab on her website called "Amy's Record."

Her record is even in the newspapers.

##
Characterizing herself as "crime fighter," Klobuchar is proud of having been a part of the effort to reduce Hennepin County's crime rate by 20 percent by working with law enforcement and neighborhood groups. (Source: Detroit Lakes, Aug. 15, 2005)

She has chosen to bring up crime in the county where she is the County Attorney. If you don't want the situation to be brought up, them maybe you should tell your chosen candidate to stop bringing it up.

Besides, this doesn't even compare to the baseless and tired attacks launched on Kennedy's campaign by Klobuchar's Machine.

Showing up for parades or NNO parties is hardly "working with.." law enforcement or groups. It's politicking. Nevertheless, that's pretty much the extent of her involvement with those groups.

Oh, forgot. Press conferences, too.

She was part of the effort. She doesn't live by it and she doesn't die by it.
