Political Blunders

Yesterday's Star Tribune contained a story on seven political blunders, three nationally and 4 here in Minnesota. Check it out.

Two of the blunders were bad for Republicans, five for the Democrats.

My favorite was Gov. Wendell Anderson's self coronation as a United States Senator. That move gave us Gov. Rudy Perpich, who, since he passed away, has been remembered as one of Minnesota's most beloved governors. Although, history tells us a different story.

Another reason why this was my favorite on the list is that Gov. Perpich has given the Republicans plenty of good stuff to say about his 1990 opponent: Mike Hatch. The goods.
