Let me get this straight.

So a man gets beaten late Wednesday evening and is found clinging to life a few hours later. A man "apparently" took the victim's belongings and was arrested.

The supposed theif was let go Friday by police and may face criminal charges.

The victim then dies of his head injuries on Saturday, leaving behind a wife and two children.

Why didn't Ms. Klobuchar charge him with anything?

Perhaps there was no evidence to prove he actually did the beating, and the police have reason to suspect someone else might have done it?

Or should they keep him in jail just incase they can't find the actual culprit.

Are we into "better to arrest the wrong person than no person"?
