More Proof of Hatch's Involvement
I saw this on Unhatched today:
"Much of the Mower County case has remained shrouded in secrecy. The complaint was filed by an anonymous county resident. No details have been revealed about why the complaint was filed there or what connection there might be to a small, rural county on the Iowa border, which contains a major meatpacking plant and tends to vote Democratic. It is known that Hatch's office provided $10,000 to the Mower County attorney to hire a special prosecutor for the case- the first time the office has done so, according to Chief Deputy Attorney General Kris Eiden." (Patricia Lopez and Dane Smith, "Jury Indicts State GOP Chief; The Four Gross Misdemeanor Counts Center On Corporate Campaign Gifts," Star Tribune, October 3, 2003)
Looks like the bloggers at MNGOP Watch have one less thing to complain about now.
