Hottinger Resigns

Sen. John Hottinger of the St. Peter/Mankato area has decided to not seek another term in 2006. Sen. Hottinger played a pivotal role in passing Gov. Pawlenty's budget in 2003. (Source: Star Tribune, Nov. 22, 2005)

Not a smart move if you want to remain in the leadership on the DFL Caucus. He was quickly replaced by the 2nd mot opportunistic DFLer, Senate Majority Leader Dean Johnson.

Who's the first you ask? I thought that was obvious.
